Gate Ode to Creation 1997 - 1998 Herne, BRD

Two - leaf gate of St. Lowrence's Church in Herne, Germany, inspired by St. Francis' player, called The Homage to Creation. The gate is of forged bronze, fixed to an oakwood base. Its dimensions are 213 x 185 cm, in consists of 321 parts, not counting bolts. It is decorated with six reliefs on each leaf. Both upper corners of the gate display angels with spread wings, while the lower corners are decorated with figures of sleeping guards. Displayed on the frame are 21 relief heads, gradually awakening from the bootom up. The gate was wrought in 1997 - 1998
